I really like the orange!

Kenn Jordan Jr. said...

Me too, my favorite color.
The last time I placed an order for glow powder I saw it & had to have it:) I added it to the S.E.T.I Nebuli I kept for myself.

So sneaky...Adding new photo's of unreleased tech!

Are we talking about the new pic in the side bar?
If so, it's one I did for John aka Eman. I know "1st. come 1st. served" is my mantra, but trust me John earned this one.
John, and Wes kept me afloat the whole 1st. year of JMA...lol

Ya that copper inlay Nebuli is bad ass Kenny! I saw the pic but did not have a chance to comment on it yet. John you definitely deserve an awesome piece such as that one. Enjoy it my friend. And Pics are a must!

This second run has been extremely successful Kenny ;)
Even though I have had to sit on the side lines for this run I always enjoy checking for the updates and reading the comments from the very happy customers!

I look forward to having some extra cash flow and
Adding to my JMA collection hehehe

Wes,

I cannot wait to get home. It should arrive in today's mail....

I am not worthy, but it will go well with the Geodesic Knob with inlays...
I will have some blinged out gear on the range!

I will have to become digital pic capable...

Pics do not do justice to Kenn's skills.

Wes,
Thanks as always for the kind comments.
I know you'll be back adding to your JMA collection soon my friend.

No speeding on the drive home there John:)
Oh, and have one of you daughters help you w/ the pics. Kids know all that stuff....lol

Kenn,

my daughters laugh at my attempts with electronics! I will be one of the last library holdout hanging onto printed pages...

WoW! This Nebuli is amazing!
The blade edge is perfectly centered, and can be seen through the holes in the spine. With the ridges in the blade, viewing the blade edge is like looking at a spine (imagine a fish spine after making fish fillets). Very subtle, but it is a great view>

The inlays are perfectly, perfectly centered and flush. The brass thumb disc---Ahhhhh.

We are all proud owners of our Nebuli, but this one is mine!!!!

My life is very good!!!!

Thank you so very, very much

John,
So glad you dig it:)
I didn't think to have a look through the spine the way you described. Now you NEED to work on your picture skills, cuz I'd like to see that.
Enjoy my friend,

Kenn,

If you have one of the SETI versions or a version with holes in the spine, see if you can see the effect of the folded blade in the handle--subtle, but cool ;).

I will try to work on pics for this weekend.

I have a learning curve ahead of me...

John,
I have a S.E.T.I. & can see through the scale. Yours' is the first where the holes go all the way through the spine of the frame. That's the view I was referring to;)

John I am glad your new toy arrived safely! Sounds like your super excited! I know that feeling every time something is on the way from Kenny haha.

All this talk about pictures has given me a very cool idea. The "usual" spot for pictures does not always cut it because I'm sure not all of your customers are members of that group and that means they can't view or contribute to the gallery. How about you start a user submitted picture gallery on the blog here Kenny? Or maybe a different page/website with a link. Your customers can simply email you pics and you can upload them to your site. Or we could start some kind of online album where any user could upload their own pics. I could check into a few ideas if you like.

Let me know what you guys think? I have always loved taking pics of my JMA goodies :)

Kenn,

I like Wes' idea of user submitted picture gallery on your blog. Great idea, Wes!
Is this possible?

I do have some pics of KJ items, but sizing them to allow posting has been a limiting factor for me.

I am looking forward to getting some additional pictures to post.

Thanks!

John

Hey guys,
Sounds like a fine idea.
We'll just need to figure out the best way to approach it.
I'm not sure I can host something like that right here, so if anyone has any ides let's hear em.

Wes said...

Kenny if you tried to host the pics on the blog I think it woukd be very limiting in both bandwidth and picture size/quality. I was thinking maybe we create an account on one of the big image hosting sites. I checked a few out and some have unlimited storage and allow file size images to be uploaded. You could simply have the link on your blog and either people send you the pics and you upload them or we make the account open to all JMA fans so that anyone can login and edit/upload their pics.

What are your thoughts boys?

eman said...

Kenn,

I like Wes' suggestion of image hosting site with link.

I would rely on a recommendation for a site which is user friendly. One that would not filter based on image/word content (ie. knife/ weapon). I am blocked by work filters which pick up key words in sites.

Wes, is there a fixed cost for using one of the image hosting sites regardless of number of images, and amount of use?

thanks

John

Kenn Jordan Jr. said...

Okay,
I checked it out, and it cna't be done here on the Blog, unless I give permissions to everyone.
Now everything I have uploaded here is in a Picasa album that allows comments on individual photos from what I can tell???
Maybe we could start a new account there. I really don't know much other than that.
Anyone have any other ideas?
Oh, maybe a Facebook page like Peter started with "Atwood Tool Book"?

Wes said...

Sorry for the slow response guys. I have been looking into some of the image hosting sites.

Their seems to be so many now that it will take a bit of time doing the research to find a good one.

I have seen some that do charge a flat rate yearly fee for unlimited or for a set amount of storage. I would personally like to go with one of the free sites and there are even some that have unlimited storage. I am trying to find a very user friendly one because I think that is very important if we want people to upload lots of pics. I know there is definitely a very wide range of computer skills out there so I think the easier to use the site the better.

I checked out Googles Picasa program Kenny, and I cant say I am very impressed lol. I will keep playing around with it and also checking out others.

Let me know what you guys find as well.

Wes

ps I don;t have Facebook lol

Kenn Jordan Jr. said...

Hey Wes,
I'm a Machinist, what the hell do I know about image hosting sites?...lol
I appreciate your looking into it, and keep us posted as to what you happen to find out there.
Anyone else have any ideas?

Wes said...

Kenny do you have Facebook? It might not be a bad idea because it would allow new ways to reach your customers and to keep people up to date on JMA news.

I am not a big FB fan but it's all in the best interest of your site ;)
Maybe try setting up a JMA FB page and we can test it out with some new pics for the online album.

I also meant to ask you... If you created a new album using Picasa is there a way to make the online album public? I do believe there is but I have not played with it enough. Let me know if you can set one up and John and I can test it out with some pics. If you like the FB idea let me know if I have to make an account lol

I will keep looking into the online picture hosting sites.

Wes,
I haven't a clue how the Picasa works, it just started one for me when I created the Blog.
I'm researching the Face Book option now. What I like about the F/B is that pics can be posted, and comments made. Then folks can still look through the photo album, and see past pics with the ability to add comments.
Just trying to figure out how to set it up, so be on the lookout for a link on the JMA blog:)

Kenn Jordan Jr. said...

I just set up the F/B page.
So I guess you just follow the link (top right in the side bar)from the Blog, and join up?
Let's see how it goes...:)
